Think of Spring, especially during your childhood, and you may think of picnics in the park - I know I do. A whole host of Marks and Spencer party food, on paper plates, laid out in extraordinary fashion on an iconic printed blanket...most likely to be ruined by overexcited wasps. Oh the memories! Picnics are somewhat a thing of the past, but that hasn't stopped this classic picnic blanket check print making a strong appearance for Resort 19. Making its most dominant appearance at Jil Sander, the print was seen on full head-to-toe looks on high-neck/figure skimming dresses and even tights. Mulberry showcased the most classic picnic check in multi coloured squares of wool. Due to the nature of the origin of this print, the trend has a heritage feel to it and in large part it is a very easy 'non-print' to incorporate into your wardrobe.
