Shop The Edit: Animal Instinct

Love it or loathe it, leopard print comes around each season and there is no escaping it. It's a recurring trend that never really goes out of style and given that it is constructed from fairly neutral colours, such as black and brown, it can easily be mixed into your wardrobe or home. After becoming popular in the 18th century, and favoured by the wealthy, this exotic animal print soon filtered it's way down to a more commercial market and it rose in popularity with the average consumer. Leopard print is a bold look and makes a strong sartorial statement and for Fall you can shop this look very readily. For fashion inspiration think more along the lines of Twiggy wearing Biba and Edie Sedgwick in the 60's, rather than scary spice circa 1995. For the home, Matthew Williamson's collaboration with Osborne and Little has a beautiful leopard and peacock feather printed wallpaper which will add a hint of glamour to your living space.
