Trend - 'Female Empowerment' T-Shirts

I was in two minds whether to cover this trend, given the sensitive nature of the subject matter.  I in no way want to trivialise this trend, but nonetheless I have noticed its prevalence especially as a leading street style trend for 2018 and afterall I am a trend blogger and that is what I am here to document. The #MeToo movement which came into prominence in October 2017, has undoubtedly sparked a rise in 'female empowerment' slogan tee's. The very important conversation that such a movement has started, also goes hand in hand with International Women's Day, which was celebrated globally on the 8th March. For this, designers including Bella Freud and Stella McCartney designed exclusive slogan tee's celebrating the social, cultural and political achievements of women around the globe. In October 2016 Christian Dior debuted the now infamous 'We Should All Be Feminists' t-shirt as part of their Fall 17, which coincided with Hilary Clinton's election campaign in the United States.
