A/W 18 Trend - Crayola Floral Prints

The trend for crayola brights dominated the S/S 18 runway, with designers sending countless models down the runway in popping shades of red, blue and yellow. This season these colours crossover in a new guise - print! Designers including: Balenciaga, Arthur Arbesser and Ashish showcased naive inspired floral prints, and embellishments, all in your favourite crayon box inspired colours. This print trend is all about putting the fun back into fashion. The prints in question are loosely drawn, with little to no detail - very reminiscent of the type of print you may have painted yourself as a child.  Note that such bold florals, come on a dark ground of black, providing the perfect backdrop for such a statement print. The contrast of the bright colour palette, against black, creates a striking visual impact. On the catwalk, designers opted to experiment with full head-to-toe looks  - so shrinking violets need not apply for this trend.
