A new season and a new must have shoe trend - the mule! We've all seen the countless pictures of celebrities wearing the much coveted Gucci mule...and this trend shows no sign of slowing down. So why is this shoe style having a revival? Well, it is super easy to wear, casual, comfortable and offers a chic alternative to your go to pair of summer sandals. It is a fuss free shoe trend, with no ankle straps or buckles to contend with. This style works for both day and night and also lends itself perfectly to the fluidity tailoring trend which is also popular at the moment. Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen championed this look a few seasons back with both their personal style and with their fashion line The Row. Every since this shoe style has continued to flourish and a wave of famous faces including: Jennifer Lawrence, Sienna Miller and Elizabeth Olsen have all got on board with the trend.
Whilst some mules do have high spindly heels, for this edit I have focused on easier to wear styles. If you are looking for a practical everyday style, which would also be great for work, then a flat option is your go to choice. If you are still looking for extra height to elevate your outfit and make your look more evening ready, then opt for a block heel. There are so many options available, whether it be leather, suede, printed or embellished, you can make this look work for your personal style.
