One of my favourite print trends that we saw emerging for Resort 16, was 'Sketchy Florals'. This new delicate floral trend, has soft romantic undertones and is fresh and sophisticated. Usually with romantic floral prints we see hand-painted blooms in vintage or pastel colours, however this updated take on what a romantic floral is strips back florals to their original linear form. Skeletal branches and wispy stems are kept simple in both black and white. The contrast of these two colours creates an almost 'ghostlike' appearance with barely there lines fading into the fabric.
