Graduate Fashion Week takes place every year in London, showcasing and celebrating the work of recent fashion graduates. Held at the Old Truman Brewery on Brick Lane, this year was actually the first time I have attended the event. I went along to the Northumbria University runway show on Sunday evening. I was majorly impressed by all the collections, but there were a few in particular that really caught my eye...
Julia Barstow - 'Traces of Reality'
I loved the use of colour and textured print. A wearable collection with a sporty edge.
Lucy Doyle - 'Mujeres Chingonas'
Mexican influences and standout devore garments made for an exceptionally strong collection
Bethan Schad - 'State of Undress'
Dreamy draping in a beautiful soft colour palette. Both romantic and feminine
Selina Lunn
The influence of Gothic architecture was clear to see. The ruffles and pleats were divine! A contemporary and elegant collection in rich tonal shades
Ryan Gangan - 'New Temple, New Crusader'
Brutalist architecture formed the foundation. Strong silhouettes in electric blue and yellow.
Olivia Pink - 'The New International Traveller'
60's Courrèges vibes created a very modern and versatile collection
Jessica Bailey
Seriously fun, vibrant colours, great placements and oversized silhouettes.
The accessories got a lot of love on Instagram.
Congratulations to all the Northumbia University graduates, the runway show was amazing! Check out the Northumbria Fashion website for more portfolio pictures and details about all the collections.
