Shop Now - Tassel Earrings

Forget twee, understated jewellery. This season, those in the know are obsessed with tassel earrings. We all know that a statement accessory can make or break an outfit and with the current trend for classic tailoring proving to be a big hit, a bold pop of colour in the form of an earring to contrast the sleek tailored lines can really make the difference to your outfit. Fashion faves including, Megan Ellaby and Pandora Sykes are fully on board with this latest trend...and I for one am loving their looks! See below for inspo...
As this is an accessories trend, the best part is there are so many affordable options out there on the high street. These styles won't break the bank and are the perfect way to spice up a daytime look or elevate an evening look for a more glamorous vibe. If earrings are your jam, then i've also thrown some designer options into this edit in case you are feeling like getting spendy with this trend. *For styling, a colour clash will make your look even more trend driven.

How To Style...Wool Blazers

I adore putting together styling edits, and whilst I may not have the means to splash the cash and get spendy with clothing hauls, that doesn't have to stop me getting creative with styling content for my blog. One of the biggest outerwear trends this season, is the oversized wool blazer. As seen on the runway at: Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Celine and Jil Sander, the boxy blazer needs to be your go to coat for Autumn. A trend which is both stylish and practical you say - count me in! So take one wool blazer, from Etoile Isabel Marant, and style it in multiple ways...
Outfit 1
We all know the athleisure trend isn't going away anytime soon, so why not throw a wool blazer into the mix as well? Dressing for the athleisure life need not be all hoodies and rucksacks. Opt for silk track pants, which will become a fail-safe wardrobe staple, and team with a flattering silk cami. Team with trainers for comfort, but elevate the look with undoubtedly the 'it' bag of the season from Cult Gaia. It's the ultimate relaxed outfit whilst still remaining very 'put together'. Perfect for day to night.
Outfit 2
Once again dressing for comfort with a pair of frayed, and cropped, stonewashed denim kick flares (just rolling all the major denim trends into one). A polo neck is my number one go to Fall wardrobe essential, and this little number from Balmain with military style button detailing is amazing. Mules are another key look for Fall, elongating the leg and looking super classic. This pair from Stella McCartney look super stylish with their tort heel. Accessories from Simon Miller and Ray-Ban complete the look.
Outfit 3
This is how I would style a blazer on a daily basis. If you have followed my blog for a while, then you will know that mini skirts are 100% my thing. I can't get enough of them. If i'm not teaming them with a polo neck then you can catch me styling them with a cool tee. Slogan tee's are huge at the moment so I have opted for one from the debut collection from Alexa Chung's namesake brand. A killer ankle boot and cross body bag, from two of the most sought after designers of 2017, complete the look.
Outfit 4
So this is the outfit for those who love pretty boho looks. You can't go far wrong with a loose fitting dress, skimming your figure for those days when you just feel abit 'meh', but looking oh so cool belted at the waist when your confidence levels are high. Feeling all the subtle folk vibes with embroidered Etro boots and suede tote from Parisienne fashion brand Muun.
Which if your favourite outfit from this styling edit?

Resort 18 Moodboard - Stylised Florals

Talk about BOLD. The stylised floral print from Resort 18 really does pack a serious punch! Taking no prisoners, designers including: Pringle, Gucci and I'm Isola Marras played with bold prints reminiscent of those typically found on 70's wallpaper. There is an unrestrained feel to this trend, with no colour being too vibrant, and no print being too loud. Silhouettes echoed the OTT nature of the prints, with oversized printed sleeves and floor length gowns.

Resort 18 Moodboard - Goddess

Ethereal goddess collections were widely seen for Resort 18. Sheer fabrics were loosely draped and pleated, resulting in feminine yet all be it powerful looks. Sometimes fabrics had gold threads running through them, for the ultimate luxe feel. The key to this trend is embracing the theme head-to-toe. From hair pieces, to gold jewellery and the all important gladiator sandals - your outfit needs to encapsulate the full spirit of Greek and Roman goddesses. Notable Designers: Gucci, Chanel, Prada, Fausto Puglisi, Jil Sander, Roberto Cavalli, J.Mendel.

On Trend Now - Micro Tote's

Practical? No, Stylish? Yes - I'm talking about this seasons must have accessories trend: The Micro Tote. I'm pretty sure I had a mini handbag, not too dissimilar to the below, back in the 90's when I no doubt begged my parents for a handbag to make me feel 'grown up'. Well fast forward to 2017 and the likes of Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid are well and truly bringing this trend back... most likely with a PA or security guard trailing a few steps behind with their actual handbag because lets be honest these micro totes are completely unpractical. But alas this is fashion, and as we all know trends need not be entirely realistic. For styling think, Cher from Clueless mixed with modern street style...yes really.
Designer brands often introduce smaller versions of their best selling styles, as a more accessible way for consumers to buy into the brand. So, if you are looking to shop this trend the luxury market has many great options. Be prepared to only carry your essentials with you, phone and maybe a small make up case. Happy Shopping!

Resort 18 Moodboard - Lime Love

Acidic shades of lime were widely seen for Resort 18. Often considered a difficult colour to wear, designers did not hold back when it came to using this colour this season. Largely used on complete head-to-toe looks, shades ranged from neon brights to chartreuse. Lime is not an understated colour - it makes a sartorial bold statement and styling should reflect this. Opt for off-beat cuts, slashed hemlines, ruffles and interesting textures. Key Designers: Delpozo, Versus, MSGM, House of Holland and Ellery.

Outfit of The Month - August

Pretty standard 'me' attire for my August outfit of the month. Growing up I never wore red, it was the one colour which I always shied away from. However, as of late, I have been loving wearing deep red shades with burgundy undertones. Contrasted with black, the colour combo seems to work perfectly for me. This dress from Philosophy is super flattering, with a ditsy print and a Victoriana inspired lace collar. Adding some structure to the look, I've teamed it with a military style jacket from Red Valentino. I love how a boxy jacket can really elevate a look and make the outfit appear more 'put together'. Accessories come courtesy of Proenza Schouler and Neous.

Brand To Know - Ellery

Established in September 2007 by Kym Ellery, Australian based brand Ellery has become synonymous with architectural silhouettes and a clean-cut aesthetic. Developing innovative fabrics with textile mills in both Switzerland and Italy, all garments are then made in the Sydney atelier. Over the course of the past couple of years Ellery has really been propelled to the forefront of international fashion, with a growing presence on the red carpet and a prestigious list of stockists. Bringing the laid back bohemian vibes of Australia to the runway, mixed with unconventional tailoring, has resulted in countless collections featuring standout pieces. Oversized bell-sleeves, extreme flares, latex dresses, micro-ruching, and 70's inspired prints are all recurring design features. Ellery collections also have a somewhat androgynous feel to them, with zippers and metal pulls being used to toughen up the looks.
If you are looking to shop the latest Ellery collection, then note that these pieces do come at a premium price point - but if money were no object I'd buy one of everything! Here are my top picks of the new season pieces...
1. Trousers £570 / 2. Dress £1130 / 3. Jacket £1510
4. Jacket £1935 / 5. Earrings £325 / 6. Top £590
7. Skirt £2330 / 8. Dress £2290 / 9. Dress £1220
